We took a one-day-excursion from Delhi to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri with a Toyota Innova. That car size was pretty good for the long ride: enough place inside, extremely clean in and out, nice driver. Apart from the driving habits of the Indian drivers everything was fine with your service. The driver politely asked if we needed any guidance and having a no from our side, did not force the question again. He was calm and distinguished, did not want to press on us with shopping facilities and other sightseeing than we agreed to visit. |

Je dois dire que le service offert par M. Thakur nous a entierement satisfait. Nous avons trouve son site par hasard sur le net et grace a ses reponses tres rapides nous l'avons choisi. Abbiamo prenotato il ns. tour in Rajastan con Bobby Thakur. Ci siamo trovati molto bene, i contatti via mail sono sempre stati precisi e puntuali, abbiamo pagato il tour meta' all'arrivo a Delhi e l'altra meta' a fine viaggio. L'autista e' stato molto bravo, non ci ha fatto insistenze in merito allo shopping o per i vari ristoranti. Abbiamo prenotato inoltre un volo interno e il treno Agra /Varansi. Tutto molto professionale.
Consigliamo Bobby per la sieta' e puntualita' nel suo lavoro.

Bobby is the real deal. I was skeptical about booking a service like this over the internet. But, I did like that I didn't have to pay any money upfront and that he wanted only half the money in advance. So, I crossed my fingers and hoped that things would go smoothly.
My driver, Pawan, picked me up at the agreed upon time at my hotel. He was helpful and informative. He arranged for a guide to meet me in Agra and helped plan my day of sightseeing in Delhi. He was never pushy about taking me to places that I didn't want to go. He even suggested a great restaurant for lunch in Delhi. His English could have been a little better but we never had any real problems communicating. I especially enjoyed his jokes -- you need three things to drive in India: good brake, good horn and good luck!
Should I find myself headed to India again, I'll definitely give Bobby a call. |

The car provided by car rental delhi was extremely clean,nice and new. The driver English was good. He never refused to take us anywhere and he wasn?t pushing to take us to emporiums or other shopping that we did not want. He did ask us every now and then if we wanted to go to one type of store or another, but I said ?no thanks? and that was the end of it. Many other drivers are pushy and it?s uncomfortable. In Goa, for instance, and on our return trip through Delhi, some of the drivers were so pushy that we got out of the taxi and hired another. Yours was a better experience. I realize that drivers usually make extra money through these side relationships but it results in a very bad experience for me as a tourist. I would rather pay a few more dollars up front and not be hassled. He took care of all the toll taxes, highway taxes and parkings. I will strongly recommend car rental delhi to everyone. I just got back from India last week and I had an absolutely amazing trip. I spent a lot of time before i left planning this vacation online at tripadvisor.com, travelblog.org, and inadamike.com and the hardest thing to find for me was a good recommendation on a car & driver by fellow travelers.
As a female traveling alone, i really wanted to have a car so i could move more freely without the hassles of train and bus schedules, in addition to the safety factor.
I finaly found some info from some random woman's personal blog that i found through a google search... i took a chance and sent the company an email requesting a info and a quote, and promptly confirmed my booking since the price was so incredibly reasonable.
That was the best decision i made, (i wish some of my hotel choices were as good.) My driver, Sonu, had two cell phones & since we were in Jaipur the day the bombs hit Jaipur, he started getting phone calls from his network of friends telling him what the latest news was.
He was amazing at keeping everything under control, getting us safely back to our hotel, and then the next day arranged for police approvals to move on to Pushkar while the rest of the city was still under curfew.
I really can't express how grateful i am to Bobby Thakur of Delhi Car Rental, (http://www.carrentaldelhi.com) who called to make sure i was safe at almost every leg of my trip, and and my driver Sonu, who moved me around the countryside safely using his network of friends to keep him informed.
My trip was made even more enjoyable by Sonu's open nature. He has been driving professionally for 10 years now, he speaks English perfectly well, and was eager to show me some very special places off the beaten track that i wouldn't have discovered if i was traveling by bs or by trin alone. He really brought more vibrant colour to my vacation.
In addition to the safety of using a car and driver, i would highly recommend hiring one for the flexablity it provides. I have so many excellent photographs of the lovely people, countryside, and villages of Rajasthan because i could stop wherever i wanted to catch the moment as it was occuring.
I will definately return to India, it truly is an incredible country!

The only comments I have is that the driver?s english was poor and that I got a different car that the one I rented. Beside this, I would strongly reccomend this company. |

My three friends and I rented a Toyota Qualis from Bobby Thakur to travel around Rajasthan for 8 days and we were very pleased with our service. Our driver's name was Yadav and I would definitely recommend that you request him because he was excellent. On many occasions he went out of his way to ensure that we were safe, not getting cheated, and having the experience that we wanted. He arranged for affordable, capable guides for us in Agra, Fatehpur Sikti, and Jaipur. He even arranged a camel safari for us in Mandawa when we were having trouble finding an affordable safari when we wanted to go. Yadav is much more than a driver, he is a vast source of information about the region and he is able to arrange experiences that we could not find on our own. Yadav was always on time, and usually early. His English is excellent. He will not bring you to a shop just because he gets a commission from the shop (even though many drivers and guides do this). Yadav will take you wherever you want to go, he is never pushy and doesn't try to tell you that somewhere else is better and you should go there instead. If you want his advice (which you will if you are smart), you can ask him for a recommendation about a place and he is more than willing to be helpful. We found his recommendations about places to go and how much we should pay for things very helpful and it definitely ended up saving us lots of money. He carries a cell phone and is always accessible if you want to change plans at the last minute or contact him for some reason (for an earlier pick up, etc.) I have heard countless terrible stories about how difficult it is to travel in India, but with Yadav we found that it was simple and enjoyable. Bobby Thakur is also very professional. One of his other drivers picked me up from the airport without any problem. Bobby gave us an in person orientation with tips for traveling in India. He was in contact (by cell phone) with Yadav throughout the trip and made himself available if we had any concerns or complaints about anything (which we didn't). I am highly recommending Bobby Thakur company, and especially Yadav for driver, if you want a hassle-free, unforgettable Indian experience. You will not be sorry. |

Bonjour et merci au routard d'avoir mis en place ce post, cela ?vitera certainement les redondances... On pourrait m?me aller + loin en proposant un forum par rubriques (m?t?o, visas etc...)?
Bref, concernant le sujet location de v?hicule avec chauffeur, je recommande vivement l'agence de Bobby Thakur (pour le Rajasthan et le nord de l'Inde) avec qui j'ai d?j? voyag? plusieurs fois.
Outre le s?rieux, la sympathie et les qualit?s habituelles (pour un chauffeur) de prudence, j'ai ? chaque fois ?t? enchant?e du service d'une qualit? rare, une disponibilit? sans failles...
Ceci est sans doute d? au fait que dans son souci de satisfaction de la client?le Bobby a d?cid? de monter sa petite agence en association avec quelques chauffeurs, ce qui (pour moi en tous cas) est un gage de responsabilit? en amont comme en aval. En effet, avec cette agence on est s?rs que les chauffeurs ne dorment pas dans les voitures et qu'ils sont vraiment pay?s ? chaque fin de mission (attention je ne dis pas que les autres chauffeurs mentionn?s sur le forum le font, loin de l? puisque je ne les connais pas, mais je sais que ces pratiques sont courantes sur Connaught Place) , donc ils peuvent ainsi travailler dans de bonnes conditions et surtout ne pas pousser les gens dans les magasins commissionn?s par exemple... Et ? la fin, c'est le client qui ne peut en ressortir que satisfait.
Et en plus, au niveau des tarifs, sans mettre sur la paille les chauffeurs qui s'y retrouvent, c'est vraiment tr?s raisonnable pour un europ?en puisqu'il propose une Tata Indica avec chauffeur ? partir de 22? en dehors de Delhi (? v?rifier)...

Renting a car and driver in India is a great way to move around. We just came back from our trip to India and we thought we would give some tips to ensure the trip remains hassle-free if you decide to take this option. Having a car and driver has a lot of advantages. No time lost in public transports, you go from point A to point B at your convenience. You eat when you are hungry not when the bus reaches destination, you go the bathroom whenever you want, no need to rush for breakfast or wait under pouring rain for a rickshaw or bus. There's no queuing and hassles to get bus/train tickets. You reach remote locations or sites of interests quickly and with no problem. This is the first time we do that, and though it does not facilitate encounters with people, it was really useful when visiting Rajasthan.The company we've used for traveling in Rajasthan is the one managed by Bobby Thakur. We had rented an Ambassador car with driver. That's the best price we've found, with good service. Bobby Thakur can be reached by email, website or by phone (24 Hrs service) and he knows what he's talking about. He'll do anything he can to ensure the customer is happy (the fact that travellers could complain on travel forums about poor quality of service is a strong incentive to provide good quality service). We found Bobby thakur and his driver to be very helpful and he sorted out our - small - problems. We thus have no hesitation to recommend his company. (this should not prevent you from ensuring the above is followed). We'd recommend to use a company rather than a independant driver. If you face problems (mechanical problem with the car or the driver is not nice or too pushy) a company will be able to solve the problem (change the car or the driver). With an independant driver, it's going to be difficult to sort out any problem. |

nous avons trouve les coordonnees de l agence de Bobby Thakur sur un forum de voyageur et donc l avions contacte pour la preparation de notre voyage , ainsi que quelques uns de ses concurrents . Il ns a toujours repondu plus rapidement que les autres, ses prix se placaient mieux, et il a fait preuve de tres grande souplesse and patience face a nos nombreuses demandes de modifications . Ainsi il nous a pris en charge a notre arrivee a l aeroport de Delhi le vendredi 7 mars 2008 et a rempli toutes les conditions du contrat convenu jusqu au 3 avril 2008 . De plus son chauffeur, Mr Rajinder Singh, etait parfait . Nous ne pouvons donc que tres sincerement le recommander . |
